2012 Estate Planning Seminars

Seminar Descriptions:
Wills, Trusts, Advance Directives. This seminar follows a married couple through the estate planning process, from the initial consultation in our office, through the death of the second spouse. Through the story, Meghann discusses advance directives (power of attorney, appointment of a health care representative, and living will), wills, and trusts. Real life situations are used to illustrate when and why each document is needed, and why estate planning is crucial, even in a financially restrictive economy.
Caring for an Elderly Relative. This seminar addresses the various legal issues faced when caring for an elderly relative or friend. A wide variety of topics are discussed, including legal competency, when a child or caregiver should seek an attorney's advice, Medicare/Medicaid and the importance of advance directives (power of attorney, appointment of health care representative and living will).
